That’s what you get from Moffat’s wife. I think it’s a brave move on her part, defending their show like that.

Uhm, something I just noticed.

She’s not just “Moffat’s wife”. She’s the executive producer of the fucking show. She even pops up on the credits during the theme, which means she’s just as massively important as the title “executive producer” implies. This is probably just that poor whelp’s misunderstanding, despite the fact that it pronounces her position explicitly at the tippy top of the page, but come on. It’s not like she’s some random lady who’s like, “gonna issue this really threatening statement about my husbands show wheeeee.”

No.

And I don’t want to turn this into a feminine issue, but let’s consider this. You obviously know it’s “their” show, but you’ve lowered her just to the level of “writer’s wife” and she’s so much more than that. Nothing wrong with being a writer’s wife; I’m just saying. With so few women in powerful positions in the television and movie industries we really have to give credit where credit is due. You probably meant nothing by it. I just think this is a pretty good example of the belittling of women in powerful positions.

On another note, Sue Vertue is my hero.
